Demolările au început din 1933, fiind întrerupte de lipsa banilor și de tergiversarea procedurilor de expropiere. Blocul Boroș(1936) din str. Lipscani 100(azi,92), a fost construit după demolarea,în 1933, a casei Cicerone Boroș. Mai jos, ”Porunca Vremii” din 24 septembrie 1933.
